Ajit Jain, vice chairman of Berkshire's insurance operations, said that climate change, like inflation, can become a friend of the insurance industry.
Jain said Berkshire's reinsurance business issues reprice risk every year. "I think despite climate change and despite the increased risk of fires and floods, the insurance industry is still a good place to place," he said.
Jain added: "Climate change increases risks and ultimately makes our business bigger over time."
